Does the above picture seem familiar?

The CCTV images seem ok during the day, but at night, when you're most likely to need high quality recordings the images are dark and out of focus.

We have all seen video footage released to the new channels which is blurred, grainy and virtually useless for identification.

Invariably, this is because the system has not been maintained, or because the video tapes have been used far more times than the twelve passes recommended by the Home Office.

The Data Protection Act makes it even more important to service CCTV systems, as the Registrar's guidelines require that cameras should be maintained regularly, in order to preserve the quality of the recorded information, or "data"

Modern digital video recorders get over the worn tapes problem, but regular preventative maintenance of CCTV systems, and all forms of electronic security, still needs to be carried out if the system is to function as it should, and if you are to be spared the inconvenience of breakdowns and false alarms.

We offer our customer planned preventative maintenance contracts on all equipment supplied and installed by us. In cases where equipment has been installed by others we are usually happy to maintain the equipment subject to site survey.

The benefits of having a preventative maintenance contract include:

Increased reliability of the system, ensuring the health and safety of your staff and visitors.

24 hour 365 day emergency callout facility.

Preferential rates for repairs, currently £15 per hour less than our non maintained customers

Preferential attendance at busy times. Maintenance customers automatically go to the front of the queue

Warranty extension of up to 3 or 5 years dependant on the equipment

We will initially send you a quotation to visit your site 2 or 3 times a year to carry out the manufacturer's recommended maintenance procedures.

Payment is annually in advance, and each year we will send you a renewal quotation which you are free to accept or reject.

Once you are on maintenance contract you have access to our emergency callout facility and all of the other benefits outlined above. Our service department will arrange for an engineer to attend site at a convenient time to carry out maintenance of the system. You will then be provided with documentation for your records at each visit.
