All of the products within our range of external detection are specifically designed for highly reliable intruder detection, most complying with BS 8418, and can be used either stand alone or interfaced into any of our CCTV systems for video transmission and/or automatic positioning of pan and tilt cameras.
External detection can also be used on manned CCTV systems to alert an operator to movement in a specific area.
Turnstiles
Security Design & Installation Ltd can supply and install a wide range of security barriers and turnstiles either on a stand-alone basis or as part of an Integrated Security system incorporating other security factors such as CCTV, Access Control and Alarm Monitoring.
Our turnstile range of products includes electronic waist height turnstiles, full-security full-height turnstiles, barrier-free optical turnstiles and secure entry portals.
All our electronic turnstiles are designed to easily interface with any CCTV or access control system, and third party admission or ticketing systems.
Barriers
Our range of security barrier systems are designed to control vehicle movement as part of a stand alone security system for your premises or complementing other systems such as CCTV and Access Control.
The key role of both barriers and turnstiles is to prevent non-authorised access whilst providing minimum inconvenience to those with authorised access to the site. A properly designed system should allow rapid communication, for example via an intercom system, to allow the flexibility of manual override if required, to eliminate any delay and possible congestion during peak periods.
Road Blockers

Power fence
Power Fence, is an electric fence that provides the ultimate in perimeter security supplying not only effective detection but also a psychological deterrent. The controller is compatible to monitored alarm systems, the fence can be detected by zones, currently up to six. Our controller is also able to function in conjunction with existing CCTV systems. False alarms are virtually non-existent, as the fence will only go into alarm when a concerted effort is made to break the perimeter security.
